GetResponse

The  GetResponse add-on for Restrict Content Pro (RCP) will integrate your site with GetResponse, a powerful email marketing service that makes it very easy for you to communicate with and retain your customers. The add-on allows your customers to subscribe to your GetResponse email lists when they register for a membership on your RCP-powered website.

This add-on requires  Restrict Content Pro and a GetResponse account.

Installing the GetResponse add-on

Download and install the plugin from the product's page  here. If you need help installing the plugin, refer to the WordPress plugin installation documentation.

Configuring the GetResponse add-on

After installing and activating the plugin, you need to configure it so it can connect with your GetResponse account. The settings can be found in Restrict > GetResponse. There are three settings you need to configure.

  • GetResponse API Key - The secret key required to communicate with your GetResponse account.
  • Newsletter List - The list you want members to be subscribed to. This will be populated with your GetResponse lists after you enter your API key and save the settings.
  • Form Label - The label on the registration form where people subscribe.

Once you've configured these settings, members will be able to subscribe to your mailing list when they register. Here's a screenshot of the mailing list checkbox on the registration page.

Note: This add-on will subscribe members to your list, but it does not do a continuous sync. For example, if a user's membership expires, they are not automatically removed from your GetResponse list.
